Terms of service
The agreement between you and Jou Garage, in plain language.
The service
Jou Garage collects your boxes and bulky items from your door in Cape Town, stores them safely, and delivers them back when you ask. Pickups and deliveries happen on your area's service day, or on-demand if you choose that tier.
Logistics are handled by a vetted third-party partner at launch. We remain your point of contact throughout.
Boxes and seals
You pack and seal each box yourself with a numbered seal we provide. Because we don't pack your boxes, we aren't responsible for how they're packed or for the contents you choose to store.
If the numbered seal is intact when your box is returned, that confirms the box was not opened while in our care.
Bulky items
Bulky items (beds, couches, fridges, bikes and the like) are photographed at pickup and again at delivery, and you sign off on their condition. This gives both of us a clear, shared record.
Liability and insurance
We take responsibility for keeping your things safe, dry and sound while they're with us, and we carry insurance against loss and damage such as crushing, water or fire.
A liability cap applies per box and per item. We recommend you don't store irreplaceable valuables or documents you may need at short notice.
Pricing and billing
You pay a monthly fee per box or bulky item, based on size and the service tier you choose. Your first collection is free. Prices are confirmed before you commit, and we'll always tell you before anything changes.
Cancelling
You can ask for everything back and close your account at any time. We'll arrange a final delivery on your service day, or on-demand if you're in a hurry.
